After winning the competition seven times he is still trying to win it for the eighth time. After a three-year retirement, Armstrong started his comeback at the Tour Down Under in Australia in January, where he finished 29th overall, 49 seconds behind winner Allan Davis of Australia. He then finished seventh in the Tour of California in February. X-rays confirmed that Armstrong fractured his right collarbone. The fracture is said to be clean and according to experts he could come back sooner than expected. The guy is old and worn out and I think he should remain retired. He has made history for coming back before after being diagnose with cancer and he is widely respected about that. Some body please tell this guy enough is enough and that too much of everything is a mess. It's time for him to leave the sport to other young atheletes who looked up to him as their hero. He has made his mark on the game and in my opinion should finally call it a quit. I love you man but it's time to go. A lot of proffesional atheletes retired from their respective sports and alway try to make a come back. I think this is childish because if you are not ready to leave the sport you love don't be fool. It is always good to leave a sport in honor and stay retired. Most atheletes who make a come back always leave in a dishonorable favtion and so my advise for Lance will be stay away my good friend.
Since Lance Amstrong joined Team Astana, which is sponsored by a coalition of state-owned companies from Kazakhstan, the country I am from, I have started to pay more attention to his persona. No doubt that he is a great racing cyclist and a living legend of professional cycling, but his gold times are pretty much over. In this regard, I absolutely agree with you Jeff. Lance should leave professional cycling. When I say this, I mean solely that he should stop participating in races as a cyclist, nothing more. It is quite obvious that he might still enjoy working in a field somehow related to professional cycling.
ReplyDeleteI love Lance.
