what the hell are we doing...



... to our own body by eating junkfood, for todays blog i would like to talk about junk food and what it does to us, i really dont see the point of eating junk food all the time. i have seen people eat nachos, potato chips, chocolate bars, popcorn, fruity twists and all similar junk food as their lunch or dinner. to eat a pack of chips while watching a movie or something like that is understandable but to let it replace our meal is a very horrible thing to do to our own body, and our stomachs lets us know that almost immediately. but considering todays world, i guess we cannot escape from the junkfood. i also consider all fast food to be very unhealthy. even though i eat quite alot of junkfood myself, i do feel guilty right after. another very popular junkfood is softdrinks. which i also drink. every time i drink a softdrink, i make sure i drink enough water to wash it away with the least amount of damage.



the following i consider junkfood:



all potato chips



all chocolate bars



licorice



twists



soft drinks



twinkies



anything you buy from mcdonalds/kfc/popeyes/burgerking/wendy's and all similar fast food chains






with all that being said, we only live once so i guess we should just eat what we want :)

I agree with what you are saying SABA. but a lot of people don't have all the time on there hands to go and prepare a healthy and nutritious meal. they only have an hour or 30 min break so they just go to McDonalds or bk because it's fast, cheap, somewhat good, and it fills you up. on the other hand, most of the people that do have time to prepare a healthy meal just don't do it because they are lazy. a good example of these people would be me. if my mom didnt make good n healthy food i would probably be eating alot of take out or fast food.

  2. I think that Saba in her post say about people who eat junk food always. Going to McDonalds once a year is not a problem. I don’t like places like McDonalds, but my childen love burgers and french fries, so I can sometimes take them to such place. I don’t let my children drink sodas because they have too much sugar, but if they drink sodas sometimes it is not dangerous for health. But people who eat junk food always usually have problems with health, they are overweight. Obesity is the topic of my Sociology paper, and I know that eating junk food is one of main reasons of obesity.

  3. Yes, chips can be considered bad. But, some experts say you can have chips in your diet. It just depends on if they are baked or not and the amount of chips you are consuming. If you have a small bag that says "one serving" or different type of chips besides Doritos,such as, Pop chips you are good. There are chocolate bars that can be fat free, glucose free, etc. People really do have to watch what they eat. Certain food can ruin you in the long run. soda is the main one that people should avoid. It has so much effects. It can ruin your teeth, eventually raise your blood pressure and give you diabetes, gives you sugar rush, etc. It is even bad to drink when thirsty. It makes you more thirsty.

  4. It is mentioned from one of our classmates’ presentation that junk food is leading factor of obgoesity. I believe it is obvious that junk food and fast food are unhealthy, and people are already aware of it. There is even a movie called “Supersize me”. If so, what promotes people from eating those erunhealthy food? I think it is the matter of time people have. Unless you’ve packed your meal, fast food is the best way to save your money and time. Plus, junk food, fast food and those unhealthy food are so good! We should however try to avoid these food and go for healthy diet.
