Rush Limbaugh on Obama

Rush has become the most powerful man in the Republican Party. With the country in so much trouble he is taking on the president as his greatest rival even wishing his administrative policies a failure. I can’t seem to understand why this guy is so naïve and ill responsible. Some republicans are even upset with his vocal, arrogant and somehow stupid and loud mouth talking. He tried so hard to demonize Obama since the primaries up to the general election but did not succeed yet he is still on his mission of seeing the president fail. While Obama is trying to bring people together from all races, ethnics backgrounds and parties, Rush on the other hand has opposite of that.
He is determining to pull the country apart if that what it takes to see the president fail. Someone needs to step up and tell this guy enough is enough and that he now needs to shut up. This is exactly what Rush said when he was asked to write a four hundred word note on the hope of the Obama presidency “If I wanted Obama to succeed, I'd be happy the Republicans have laid down. And I would be encouraging Republicans to lay down and support him. Look, what he's talking about is the absorption of as much of the private sector by the US government as possible, from the banking business, to the mortgage industry, the automobile business, to health care. I do not want the government in charge of all of these things. I don't want this to work. So I'm thinking of replying to the guy, "Okay, I'll send you a response, but I don't need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails." (Interruption) What are you laughing at? See, here's the point. Everybody thinks it's outrageous to say. Look, even my staff, "Oh, you can't do that." Why not? Why is it any different, what's new, what is unfair about my saying I hope liberalism fails? Liberalism is our problem. Liberalism is what's gotten us dangerously close to the precipice here. Why do I want more of it? I don't care what the Drive-By story is. I would be honored if the Drive-By Media headlined me all day long: "Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails." Somebody's got to say it. Were the liberals out there hoping Bush succeeded or Were the liberals out there hoping Bush succeeded or

  1. I get tired hearing this man run his mouth all the time. I do understand that everyone is entitled to his or her opinion but when you become a pain in the flesh of a country as a whole then something is wrong with you. The republicans do love this guy but some are even sick of hearing him talk talk all the time. He wishing the president to fail is completely naive and unpatriatic. I dont have much to say but someone needs to tell him enough is enough.

  2. I wrote a blog on this same story. I don’t personally choose to listen to this guy, but the news stories seem to love to put his mug on center stories. The best thing we as citizens can do is not listen to him. A voice is only heard when you pay attention to it. Let us pay attention to the things that matter most; our healthcare, deployment of troops who don’t have any business in a different country, our education system, and poverty. Rush Limbaugh says that socialism and liberalism in this country are the evils that have put this country in its current economic distress. How can you listen to a man that has outright total disregard and disrespect for President Barack Obama; who ran a clean campaign and continually dismantles his adversaries like Limbaugh gracefully and without the slight to his own character. Sometimes when I hear some of Limbaugh’s excerpts I deem them to be anti-constitutional and treacherous, but hey that’s not my call. If you don’t like something then you just don’t listen to it. I like rap music for its music content. The lyrics are not what I particularly care for, but what I’m trying to say is if you don’t like rap music then you won’t listen to it. We need to stop listening to him.
