According to astronomers " The sun will sit precisely on the heavenly crossroads between the Milky Way and the galactic equinox, forming a perfect alignment with the center of the galaxy. Any other scientific or astronomic predictions for 2012? Of course. Not only will the sun align precisely between the milky way and galactic equinox but its magnetic poles will reverse. This happens about every 11 years when its the solars maxim, but there is a possibility that the one in 2012 will cause a great solar flare or burst, an explosion, that would kill most living things on earth, according to the Nasa. To top all this off Astroid apophis will make his appearance once again around planet earth. The difference between 2012 and his previous appperances is that he'll be closer then ever before with great possibilities of impacting earth. If this happened NASA predicts the blast would be 1000 times stronger then the atomic bomb dropped on hiroshima. Not only that but if it hit the Atlantic Ocean, then the entire Estern United States, Western Europe, and Northwestern Africa would be flooded by an enormous tsunami.
Don't forget: there are many, many religions predicting some kind of end to the world. And the Maya prediction attracts a lot of attention now, because their end date is so well-defined, because the Maya Deadline is only a couple of time-ticks away, and because the accuracy of their previous predictions.
So, what are we to make of it all?

I dont think that the world will end in 2012. Yes the mayan's did predict the wars and other big events that happened in the world, but the end of the world is a huge thing to predict. If the myans were positive that the world was going to end wouldnt they have just wrote it, instead of just ending the calender? Also most christians do believe that jesus will come back and destroy the earth. But the bible also explains that jesus will come as a theif, so why would he come when everyone predicts the world to end. He doesnt want people to repent right before he comes and to have done bad deeds all their life and just try to change. He wants true followers of his word, people who have practiced,dedicated , and strived to be the very best deciples of jesus

ReplyDeletehowever there is a possibility that the myan calander is not that accurate, i was reading this on the yahoo news, and it said that the myan calander could be off for about 100 years, and the end of the world is in another 100 years. but everything in this world has an end date, so the earth would end someday, and that day could be december 21 2012. who knows... and if the government knew, they would not tell the people untill the last minut... so there is no way to find out what will happen...
I think we went through this whole world going to end several times now, i remember the Y2K bug where it was the same hype and nothing happened. If the world is going to come to a end.. GREAT!! what can we possibly do to prevent it or stop it.. nothing. So just live everyday like it is your last and live every day as if you are going to live forever. And if the world comes to a end, look on the bright side no more bills or taxes.
ReplyDeletePeople have been saying the apocalypse is coming since the beginning of time. First it was Nostradamus, and turned out that it wasn't correct.. eventually one of these people will be right but only because of pure luck. It is honestly impossible to tell when the earth will end. And well if it does end does it really matter if someone predicts it? Were all going to be wiped off the earth so who cares if someone predicts it!!!! If their is a way to prevent this so called apocalypse.. shouldn't someone of predicted that as well?
ReplyDeleteI think this concept is very interesting how the world is going to end 2012. There are some accurateness of the myans for they predicted their own demise. Personally I believe it's going to be a huge event like world war three just because of escalation between china, and north Korea. Whats very interesting is, the planets are going to align December 21, 2012. What could happen when this happens nobody knows. With the planets realigning and the escalation with other countries are fate may come to an end in 2012. But on the bright side, I am going out with gun's blazing either way.
ReplyDeleteI doubt that this world will end anytime soon. My mother is a jehovahs witness and she believes that it will. She talks about the ressurection and new world and all this shit I dont believe in. she says that Im wordly and when Im dead the vultures will pick at my flesh. Ha! thats fine with me. Im chocolate so they will have a good meal. I do however believe it will definitely end. When is wht I dont know and whether there will be a ressurection and new world.
ReplyDeleteif the world is really end in 2012 im glad i kno so i can get myself ready and survive.. i hardly believe that if a natural disaster could kill of everybody... the fittest will survive or the one with the most money... i aint gonna be ballin so ima have to be one of those fittest... im pretty sure its all a bunch of bs, but if it aint im planning on making it through it and coming out the other side
