The manly Man

Masculinity is the transition from boyhood to manhood. At that stage, the young man starts to mutilate and becomes stalwart. Indeed, masculinity is affecting our males due to its genetic gender, which allows a man to become dominant. Most of the crimes in the United States, in terms of vandalism, addiction, domestic violence are committed by men. Masculinity develops many others issues to appear masculine it require body and fitness, the need of attraction from the opposite sex and the crude emotional conduct. Masculinity has become a diseases that, not only attacks males but also females (Lesbian). "Masculine overcompensation is the idea that men who are insecure about their masculinity will behave in an extremely masculine way as compensation. I wanted to test this idea and also explore whether overcompensation could help explain some attitudes like support for war and animosity to homosexuals," "Masculinity-threatened men also reported feeling more ashamed, guilty, upset and hostile than did masculinity-confirmed men," states Willer's report, "Overdoing Gender: Testing the Masculine Overcompensation Thesis." Why do men have to put themselves in a higher position? It is wrong if a man take a role switch with a woman or even if a man ought to take the place of the female in the home. Men have developed this anxiety to be always being on the top. We are living in a patriarchal society where male dominance is particularly current. At a young age a boy knows that he has to grow up and be strong in order to take control. When they grow up their testosterone rises and they are always playing on the defensive and are they often become aggressive. Does masculinity shape a man? That question should be left to our male public.

  1. I believe with this in some sense. I do believe that men feel the need to stay extremely masculine and in charge in many ways; such as protecting their women and family. I do believe however that men have let their guard down a little in the past generations. If you look back on the “leave it to beaver” generation you seem the women staying home cleaning, while the men would go out and makes all the money. Now-a-days you see both husband and wife making money for the household. Though there hasn’t been much change, there is a slight difference.

  2. Masculinity is part of life for males. It is not a disease or a problem. Male dominance is only a bad thing when a man tries to use his strength and power to take advantage of someone. Females do the same thing. Why are there cat fights? Girls over use the feminine hormones to try and take power over another girl or even a man. Being a man is part of nature. Every species of animal has a strong presence of male dominance. Males are dominant because they are stronger physically and are able to protect their female accomplices. Mental dominance is another story but when it comes to dominance it is not because we want to run women’s lives. We are simply trying to protect our females 
